band on stage

While living in Crescent, Oregon Phil and I led worship at a small church in Crescent and at High Lakes Christian Church for a few months. It was a great experience!

Phil’s dream has always been for me to be the “Linda” of Paul McCartney. That was my dream too when we were dating.

However I listened to some discouraging words (not from Phil) that I took as truth and left that dream behind. Now retirement is offering me the opportunity to sing and learn to play with my husband!

Phil was busy becoming an excellent musician from about the age 10. l I took piano lessons off and on throughout my childhood and teen years but I did not apply myself to practice. I have a lot of knowledge but not much skill.

So here I am at 64 years old and re-learning how to play the piano. Since Phil and I are one-flesh, what he has and does affects me and visa-versa so I went to my Heavenly Father and asked him to impart to me Phil’s musical gifts and give me the desire to practice. I am loving the ease and the joy that this new view of music provides me. Who knows, maybe the dream will come true!

What dream might retirement offer you?
