Let me introduce myself…

My name is Celeste Davis. This is a picture of my husband Phil and I. We’ve been married since 1975 and have two married children and two grandsons.

I’m a pastor’s daughter, raised in an evangelical Christian denomination, and formerly a pastor’s wife and a children’s pastor.

Even with decades of being immersed in “Christianity”, the term “the Bride of Christ” was not something I related to on a personal level. I considered it a metaphor until 2014 when God told me to write about, and focus my life on, the concept of honor.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 became the foundation of my search to understand and walk out the concept of honor and the beginning of my journey to see that I really am the Bride of Christ. I felt a nudging to write my journey in a blog, most ly for accountability for myself. The blog was a 30-day devotional called “30 Days of Honor.

I didn’t try to promote the blog in any way, I just wrote it and left it there on my website, www.thewellnessworkshop.org. To my suprise emails started trickling in, thanking me for the blog, asking questions, praising God for what they had learned. My blog went from about 20 hits a month to 20,000 hits from people around the world. Even then, I just left it on the website and answered emails as they came to my inbox. No promotion.

The Holy Spirit Said “It’s time to turn the blog into a book.”

When the great reset of 2020 began God spoke to my heart and said, “it’s time to turn the blog, 30 Days of Honor, into a book, Radiant, How to Live Dearly Loved as the Bride of Christ.

With the help of the Holy Spirit as my story editor the book began to take shape! It was so exciting to see “the place and the history” behind the story as the Holy Spirit led me to different resources.

The book to blog process took much longer than I thought it would and here we are in February of 2021 and we are almost there! The book is in the final publication stage and should be ready to send out to those who have pre-purchased in mid May 2021.

Eager to live in honor

I have been so blessed and inspired by your love for the Lord and the deep revelations of the mystery of marriage and its corresponding relation to our calling as the bride of Christ and covenants I knew about but was not really aware of. Being a young woman, living an honorable life in this generation is not easy especially because I am still waiting on God for my life partner. After reading and meditating on your series, I am so eager to live a life of honor for my groom (JESUS) and my future husband.

I Fell In love with jesus

I started reading (Radiant) and fell in love with JESUS again . I am HIS and HIS alone. I can not help but cry when i read these. why would HE love me so much , i want ot love HIM that way too.

Communion

I wanted to tell you that I found the piece about communion really profound. So I had been thinking about it for the past 2 days, and wondering why the church I started attending for the past 4 weeks was not doing communion. I planned on asking the pastor today.

Well, without my asking, the service today included communion!!  When I talked to the pastor afterward, he told me that they gave communion every 3 or 4 weeks. So it was quite timely!

I love Jesus!

I understand marriage

I simply had no clue why he (Jesus) would talk about a bride and groom so much, and intimacy…why why why.

If this world is so full of sadness when it comes to marriage and sex, couldn’t he use something better?

While reading up on healthy living info I stumbled upon your 30 days of honor. Not that the honor part caught my attention or anything..it was something about the Ethan and Eliana story in the intro that just got hold of my heart. And I subscribed. I knew by day 4 I have found my resource. The Lord has opened the book for me on this topic.
